Message from principal

Dear everybody, A very warm greetings!                                            

It gives me immense pleasure to write a few words from the desk of Principal reflecting the important events that took place since the inception of Sagarmatha Niketan School. Sagarmatha Niketan School was founded by the founders of the  Sagarmatha Higher Secondary School, now Sagarmatha Secondary School who have a background of several decades of academic and administrative experience from inside  and outside the country. It was established in 2062 BS beginning with some 100 student from nursery to class 5. Now Sagarmatha Niketan family has growth up with some 850 pupils & some 50 teaching & non teaching staff working together to make it as a centre of academic excellence.

The school is located in the in the middle part of Pokhara valley Nayabazar, covering 16 ropanies of land including its +2 wing. It offers a calm and peaceful environment that is required for an educational institution. The school provides bus service by its four buses for the bus users coming from different parts of Pokhara valley. Similarly, the school offers the facility of taking nutritious and freshly prepared khaja for the students in school. Likewise, the school provides the facilities of well designed computer lab, library and science lab as an asset for effective learning at school.

          So for the school has prepared nine batches of SLC/SEE with excellent results. I have pleasure to state that they have followed the foot steps of their seniors of +2 level. Our graduates have under taken higher studies in their desirable subjects inside and outside the country. We believe in making them good men rather than big men. Congratulations to the students for achieving excellent results.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the teachers and staff for their guidance and support provided to the students and School administration. We are proud to have disciplined, dedicated and caring teachers. Likewise, the constructive suggestion given by valued parents and founders can hardly be exaggerated. I am always thankful to them.

Our school has its motto, knowledge, character and service. Our school expects three things from our students. Firstly, they understand our culture, tradition and values, secondly, they learn for adaptation in their environment and prepare themselves for the competitive world. Thirdly, they prepare themselves to undertake higher education in their desirable field. We emphasise in value based learning in a child friendly atmosphere. We believe that it is important to make school activities full of fun so that we do not get kids waking up in the morning and say ‘I do not want to go to school’. We emphasise on the appropriate way of teaching methodology to engage the pupils learning with fun. When kids are interestingly attracted the real learning takes place.

As the Principal, I feel honoured and privileged to be able to face the future with confidence and vision to academic excellence.
